M*P*J* is a Processing-based experiment that reimagines Diana Davies’ portrait of Marsha P. Johnson, an iconic queer activist.
By exposing the image’s structure through ASCII art, I explore how digital practices can represent queer identities. The final piece is screen-printed, bringing the digital work back to a tangible, physical form.
